The Spider is a giant green arachnid with four eyes, two fangs, and eight legs.
Behaviour[]
Spawning[]
Spiders spawn in Caves in the Jungle Biomes and a Hill basin in the Swamp Biomes. If killed, they will respawn usually after Winter.
Attacking[]
Spiders can only attack players very close to them and follow them for awhile, depending on the line of sight. They will also jump at the direction they're being attacked, possibly tackling the source to the ground and getting over inclined surfaces.
They can deal 10 Template:Damage Damage for every 3 seconds the player is in contact with the spider.
Defense[]
It's advisable for players to use a bow or blowgun to minimize damage received.Spiders will die instantly when they touch the sea.
Drops[]
They drop 1 String upon death.
